School facilities were once again all abuzz with children's happy voices as we re-engaged with real face-to-face learning. As we look ahead, we have scheduled an ECA Programme start date, and we have a reminder about our COVID measures to keep our community safe.

It was wonderful to welcome the Foundation Stage children back to the Primary School as well as the Year 11 and 13 students returning to High School last Thursday. Even better is being able to fully reopen our physical facilities to all our students on Monday!

The school once again was all abuzz with children's happy voices as they re-engaged with real face-to-face learning in their classrooms. It is truly amazing to see how quickly classes can get back to work as if nothing had happened once the school day begins in earnest.

We all will remain as focused as ever on maintaining social distance and wearing masks throughout the day in school. Thank you to everyone for taking the ATK tests Sunday night / Monday morning and Tuesday night / Wednesday morning and sharing their children’s results on the Health App. We shall continue to work hard and be vigilant to keep our school community safe with as little COVID infection as possible. As always, our school will communicate clearly both in support of those families directly affected by any positive cases in their household as well as our whole school community as appropriate.

Please remember that if your child or anyone in your family has a high temperature or slight fever along with a sore throat and possibly runny nose and cough, please use the ATK tests to check that they do not have COVID infection. Regardless, please keep your children off school until the symptoms are no longer present. We realise that these symptoms mimic that of the common cold and influenza A, but it is better under the current conditions, that if anyone presents with these symptoms, they remain at home to rest and recover, while keeping us informed so we can support your family.

For parents who have ordered ATK tests through the school, they are available to be collected. An email was sent home with the pick up details last week. For High School children, these ATK orders were distributed during their morning registration within their tutor groups.

Thank you in advance for your ongoing support and cooperation in these matters.

Student Vaccination Update

With the news that our partner hospitals may soon make available COVID-19 vaccines for children between the age of 5-11, we need to update our school list of students who are eligible for future opportunities, which may include this age group.

If your child is between the age of 5-18, please be sure to indicate whether you consent to being contacted for future vaccination opportunities. We kindly ask for your cooperation in taking one of the following actions within a parent Moodle account:

  1. If your child has already been vaccinated, please update their status within the Health App.
  2. If you do not want to be contacted regarding any future student vaccination opportunity, please select “I do not consent” within the Health App. You can always update your preference later.
  3. If you would like to be contacted regarding any future vaccinations for which your child may be eligible, please consent within the Health App. Please indicate to which specific vaccine brand you are giving consent. If you have previously completed this step, no further action is required at this time.

If you consent to being contacted regarding any future student vaccination opportunities, we will email you as soon as one of our partner hospitals allocate shots for age-eligible students in our school.

We ask parents to assess all vaccine opportunities for their children and whether they wish to become involved. We are merely making parents aware of opportunities and putting them in contact with relevant hospitals.

ECA Programme

Next week on Monday 24th January the ECA programme across the school will start. It will be fantastic to have all these activities up and running again, and I am sure lots of our young people are excited to participate in a wide range of offerings, especially the swimming programme at long last.

NAE Parents Satisfaction Survey

The Nord Anglia Education (NAE) Parents Satisfaction Survey was sent to parents at the end of Term 1. There is a wide range of areas where NAE requests your feedback on how our school is managing the education of your children.

The survey is organised and run by an external provider to NAE, so all your answers, comments and information you provide are anonymous. The information is analysed by the survey organiser and then provided to NAE Central and Regional Teams before being presented back to schools as a tool to guide and focus action plans on how to improve.

So far we have had a very low response rate and it would be greatly appreciated if you could spare 10-15 minutes to complete this survey. It is a great way of feeding back to NAE your feelings about our School and how we can improve in any areas you feel are necessary. I would really appreciate it if you could find the time to complete this survey.

For parents with enquiries, please contact support@standrews.ac.th. You can also call the Primary School directly at +66 2 381-2387-8 or the High School at +66 2 056-9555.
