KS1 and KS 2 School Councillors

Last Friday, Ms Selina - our Wellbeing Coordinator - led the assemblies in which our new school councillors were revealed. Over the remainder of the year, the two councils will meet to discuss ideas on how we can continue to improve student wellbeing as well as enabling all students to have a voice. Well done to everyone who stood for election to the councils. They all did a fantastic job of outlining their suitability for the role - it’s never easy standing in front of your peers, but they were all confident and clear. Each councillor was presented with a special badge to wear.

Air Visual - Important information

Several parents have been contacting the school to inform us that there seems to be an issue with the Primary School monitoring data. Recently, we switched the device which we use to broadcast as we recognised that there was a discrepancy between the data produced by this and the data from other devices in the local area. It appears that some of you are still seeing the data from the old device within the app (currently showing an AQI reading of 27). Please try refreshing the app to display the new data. We have contacted Air Visual to help with this issue. Until they have fixed it, please use the readings on Moodle which shows the live data from our broadcasting devices on both the Primary and High School Campuses.

Well Child Policy

In order to prevent illness spreading we ask that if ill, you must keep your child at home until they are well again. To avoid any confusion here is the definition of a well child:

  • A well child is not reliant on Calpol, Tempra or other cold/flu medicine

  • A well child is well enough to participate in school activities

  • A well child has a normal appetite

  • A well child is happy and sociable

  • A well child does not require greater staff ratio

  • A well child has normal bowel function

Please inform school or email the teacher directly if your child is sick.
