Scholastic is a world-famous publisher in education and is known for publishing, selling, and distributing books and educational materials for schools, teachers, parents, and children. The Scholastic Book Club gives you the opportunity to buy fantastic new books online in an easy and convenient way.
Your child should have brought home a Scholastic brochure with some fantastic books and offers for you to look at but please click on this link below to place your order rather than complete the form in the leaflet.
For every order you place, our school earns free books!
You can start placing your orders from today until Friday 17 May 2019 by clicking on the above link. Once the deadline has passed, Scholastic will close the account and process all the orders. Your books will be delivered directly to the school and we will distribute them to the children according to your placed order.
To order books, please follow these easy steps:
Click on the link
Browse the online catalogue
Check-out your basket
To pay: either click on ‘I am a new customer’ and create a new account or ‘Sign in’ if you already have a Scholastic account.
Your ordered books will arrive at school approximately 10 days after the deadline and we will hand them out to the students.
Please note that payment is online via the Scholastic website only and that we cannot place the order for you nor accept any payments.
Should you have any questions, please send me an email on kerry.ri@standrews.ac.th or pop into our Library.
We are now accepting your donations of good quality USED books for our upcoming Book Sale in June. Please place your books into the house boxes in the Library over the next few weeks and we will award House Points for all your donations.
We are implementing a 'split' break/lunchtime timetable for KS2 (Years 3,4,5 and 6) in the Library for the rest of this school year. This means that Years 3 & 5 and Years 4 & 6 will come together at either break OR lunchtime each day as per the timetable below. Our intention is to create a calm and pleasurable experience for everyone who wants to research, explore and read new books in the comfort of the Library. KS1 will remain unchanged at this time.
We have a limited space for everyone to use so to provide the quality environment that we want to, plus the space that the children deserve so they can enjoy their books and activities, we need to ensure that the space is not overcrowded. All the children are still able to come into the library every day for one of the sessions and so continue to have the opportunity to read and share books as well as having the opportunity to play with their friends outside. We believe this is a healthy balance and thank you for your continued support in our efforts to improve and enhance our library facilities and services.
We have only been running with this timetable for two weeks but, most importantly, the children are already enjoying the benefits.

In order to maintain a welcoming yet learning-oriented atmosphere within our Library during the school day we respectfully remind parents, nannies and helpers that you are welcome to visit the Library before school between 7.00 - 8.00 a.m. and after school between 2.30 - 4.00 p.m. The Library is a timetabled teaching space between 8.00 a.m. and 2.30 p.m. every day and we thank you for your understanding and support with providing the best possible learning experience for all the children.
Please also:
Turn cell phones off or put on vibrate mode and take any calls outside.
Use quiet, indoor voices only
Please have a good look around at home for any overdue library books as we have begun sending out payment notices for long overdue and now considered ‘lost’ books in order to clear all accounts before the end of the school year in June. If you have any queries please do email libraryps@standrews.ac.th or come and see us in the Library.
We hope you enjoy our selection of books this week which feature a range of interesting stories for all ages/ reading levels and can be found on the counter in the Library.
