St Andrews International School Bangkok Marlins made a splash at the BISP Flying Fish 2019 competition...Our U15 Volleyball team took part in the BISAC Plate competition with some great results… The U15 Water Polo Team had a fantastic debut at the 2019 BISAC Festival...Our next Friday Night Game is coming soon, featuring our U11 ballers.
Our Marlins returned from the BISP Flying Fish 2019 event held in Phuket over the last weekend. The team finished 5th overall with three individual trophies: 2nd Highest Point Score for Girls 9-10, 2nd Highest Point Score for Girls 11-12 girl and 2nd Place for Highest Point Score.
All swimmers enjoyed the competition and represented St Andrews well in their races. The event was an especially great coming out for our young 10 and under stars, who got some great race experience and demonstrated a fearless competitive spirit despite swimming in this event for the first time.
Overall, it was an excellent effort from everyone involved. Special thank you to all the parents for all your unwavering support during this meet and for our swim programme as a whole.
On Saturday, St Andrews International School Bangkok hosted the BISAC U15 Girls Plate.
Our team performed really well, showing not only skill but good strategic play and some great defense. They only lost a single game and finished runners-up. This concludes their season, but we’ll schedule another of our friendlies against our parents’ team, The Spicey Spikers.
We also have a friendly TISAC tournament for our U15 boys to look forward to on Tuesday 21 May at STA.
It is also important to mark the performance of our very first U15 water polo team at the 2019 BISAC Water Polo Festival last Saturday. Our STA Team debuted finished as the runner up in the face of more experienced competition. Congratulations Marlins!
We have two friendly games this week as follows:
On 17 and 18 May, we have two big basketball events for our U11s to enjoy, starting with our FNG#3 against visiting teams from Pattaya and Phuket. This will be a fun event with music and dance as usual, as well as an exhibition 3on3 game featuring our own coaches against some of our U16 ballers.
Tickets are 50 Thai baht and go on sale Wednesday morning (from 7.15 a.m.) at both campuses (near the entrance). We’re asking all parents and non-participating students to buy a ticket. All proceeds go to charity.
You’ll need to show your ticket on the door.
