The Marlins Recreational Group is our latest swimming programme, welcoming all beginners on Tuesdays after school.
At the end of each academic year at St Andrews International School Bangkok, our teachers and staff collect unused stationery items across classrooms and departments. These materials, including pencils, glue, scissors, books, and even clothes, are donated to the Baan Nokkamin Foundation, which supports underprivileged children in the suburbs of Bangkok. What an exciting time this is for the Aquatics Department at St Andrews International School Bangkok. During the summer, as we basked in the glow of remarkable news of our swimming coach and athlete qualifying for the 2024 Olympic Games, the result made it even better. The Olympics, an event that unites athletes from around the world in a celebration of sportsmanship and human spirit, has come particularly close to home for our community this year, inspiring students, staff, and parents alike.
Students enjoy having their own device which they can personalise and which is always available. In response to concerns around bag weight and battery life, we extended the range of devices that students were able to bring to school.
As part of the St Andrews Careers programme, Year 10 and Year 12 students had the valuable opportunity to hear from 20 industry professionals, including alumni, about various career pathways. The morning panel discussions provided insights into professional routes, required qualifications, and essential interpersonal skills for workplace success.
As Term 3 comes to an end, three senior students, Eleonore, Natalie, and Ananya, reflect on their experiences in the IB Diploma Programme at St Andrews International School Bangkok. Perhaps one of the most meaningful projects Ananya and Natalie took on during their senior studies was starting a foundation with a few other friends called Today4tomorrow – an initiative to provide opportunities to underprivileged girls in Thailand.
