Nysa G accepted for a prestigious summer of STEM!
With an acceptance rate of less than 10%, The New York Academy of Sciences has accepted Nysa (Year 11) to two prestigious summer programmes, 'The Junior Academy' and '1000 Girls, 1000 Futures'. Nysa was a perfect candidate, having undertaken an IGCSE in Design Technology: Systems & Controls, VEX robotics, Accelerated Math Class, Drama productions and Duke of Edinburgh alongside her enormous passion for STEM.

Year 8 gear up with VEX equipment!
In Year 8’s Technology course, half of this year’s students have recently rotated into Robotics. These future AI engineers and tech wizards eagerly unwrapped their VEX equipment and dove right into the construction of their set designs. The theme of learning focuses on Mechanisms, or looking at the motion involved with gears, levers, pulleys, lifts, cranks and linkages.

Ing P sets her sights on enhancing rural Thai healthcare
Meet Ing Prasansappakit, a graduate of the STA Class of 2021. Ing has excelled over the last two years at St Andrews, from getting immersed in extracurriculars, to starting her own medical charity project and receiving outstanding university offers. Ing has topped her journey off with an outstanding 43 points in the IB Diploma. Ing now sets her sights on a Medicine degree in Thailand and aims to enhance the rural Thai Health Care system.

Meet the Teacher: Former Pro footballer and now St Andrews Head of Science
Meet Mr Derek, our new Head of Science. Mr Derek has an expanse of experience, including over 30 years in education in some of the best schools in the UK, accompanied by a Bachelor’s Degree in Physics and a Master’s Degree in Education. Mr Derek also has IB qualifications in Physics and TOK along with IGCSE experience. He has plenty of career highlights, leading winning student teams to NASA competitions in Houston, USA, and month-long World Challenge trips with students to Costa Rica and Vietnam.

We are immensely proud of Bjorn's incredible accomplishment. It's the first of its kind within St Andrews 25-year history and a record that now belongs to Bjorn. He has conquered the challenges created by his ADHD and dyslexia and achieved the goals he sets for himself. Bjorn's determination to “be the best he can be” is an inspiration to us all.

NAE Virtual Musician of the Year 2021: Award-winning performances
This year's Nord Anglia Education Virtual Young Musician of the Year Competition was bigger and more impressive than ever!
