18 Nord Anglia Education Schools (NAE) joined Regents as we hosted this years STEAM Festival. Teachers were blown away with what students managed to produce in just 2 days.
Children immersed themselves in workshops and challenges devised by experts from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT); including robotics, drawing with light, creating 3D structures and presenting 3D designs in Augmented Reality & Virtual Reality.
Day 1 started with welcoming our guests and introductions from Ms Nicole and Mr Tom. Afterwards the children were introduced to all the different workshops on offer and they got to experience all of them, here's a taster of what students were getting stuck into on the first morning.
Day 2 of the festival and students start putting togther their projects in teams. Children are using all resources available at Regents to design and create their products. All prototypes need to be ready for demonstration in the expo taking place that afternoon, so students were working under pressure to have their designs ready on time!
After 2 days of investigation and hard work all projects are ready for demonstration at the Expo! Team Zuckerberg were crowned the overall winners for the 2019 STEAM Festival by collecting the most "MIT Learner Ambition" points. Team Zuckerberg produced a multi-hosted 3 dimensional camera that explores inside a volcano.
