As part of the FOBISIA Online International Design and Technology competition, Secondary students have been challenged to design and make a promotional gift for visitors of the school.
The competition is jointly run by Steven Daly, Head of Design and Technology at Regents and James Chandler, Assistant Head at BISV. It is a great chance for students exclusively from FOBISIA schools to demonstrate their ability to investigate the world around them by understanding the needs of others.
This particular online challenge is an opportunity for students to understand how many different types of people visit the school and for what purpose. After deciding on the product; the team sells the gift idea to the school, they make a batch to give to visitors and then calculate the profit made.
Watch the hard work and commitment of three very special Secondary students who have managed to design and prototype a product for the competition in just six weeks.
At Regents, our specialist staff are experts at creating personalised support programmes for students with additional educational needs. That’s why, throughout October we are celebrating Dyslexia and ADHD Awareness Month.
