Hyundo was one of our Head Students from the Class of 2017 and is currently a Commercial Insights and Analytics Manager at Philips in Amsterdam. Hyundo’s focus is on analysing performance in terms of sales improvements, market share, and new business developments, as well as understanding how macroeconomic forces such as geopolitical tensions, inflation and consumer preferences impact the business. Hyundo thrives in the fast-paced environment utilising market turbulence as leverage to propel the business into the future.
“I studied International Business Administration at the Rotterdam School of Management and then an MSc (Masters of Science) to specialise in the marketing field. I focused on the data and analytics side of marketing through elective choices. I wanted to focus on the impact I could make and the interests that led me to become a Commercial Insights and Analytics Manager at Philips.”
Hyundo added, “I still have and regularly use my old Regents football kits, which is one of my favourite memories of Regents. Also, one thing you’ll only realise later on is that as international students, your friends will move to various places and you’ll have friends all over the world! Be excited at the prospect of starting the new chapter of your lives with new people and new experiences, but know that that doesn't mean closing out the one."
Hyundo loves living in Amsterdam after living in Rotterdam for six years and how walkable the city is. After entering the company through a two-year traineeship, Hyundo also had the opportunity make some incredible friends that he works with and sees every day. Hyundo looks forward to an exciting future within the company in Amsterdam!
