Our House System encourages students to work together as a team and to strive to do their very best in school-based activities by charting success in sports, academics, social and creative challenges.
We have four houses at DCIS: Jurong, Kranji, Newton and Ubin, all named after Singaporean neighbourhoods.
During special House Days the students will represent their House, both on the sports field and elsewhere, earning House points.
House Captains will be elected for each House and year group, from Upper Primary and above. The House Captains will provide positive leadership for all students in their House.
At DCIS, the House System promotes:
- Shared aims and goals
- Collaboration, teamwork and co-operation
- Participation in competitions and sport
- Growth in self esteem
- Inclusion
House announcements will be made in assemblies and students can follow their progress on the House Board at School Reception.
