Saturday we hosted the CISA U19 Boys & Grils soccer. It started out as a great day… poured rain for an hour… and ended as a great day! The teams all played hard and played well even through the downpour. Our girls finished 3rd overall and kept the much bigger teams at bay for both of their games. The boys finished a very tight 2nd losing in shoot-out, after regulation time finished 1-1 and overtime finished 1-1. Great performances all round. Our CISA teams, with their coaches Mr. Paul and Ms. Felicia, are ready for the ACAMIS tournament next weekend.
We want to send out a thank you to the students, parents, teachers and admin. who came and braved the weather to cheer on the teams.Camille, who is injured, came to cheer on her teammates and, not only that, her parents came knowing that she was not playing to cheer on her teammates… that’s dedication!
A special thanks to Mr. Darren and Mr. Scofield who jumped right in on squeegees to help the maintenance folks to clear the field of water to make it playable for the kids! Of course a great big thank you, as always, to our maintenance guys and cleaners’ for the efforts to make this a successful weekend.
