Parents, Teachers and Students Association (PTSA)
Our PTSA plays an active role in school life, organising events – including Halloween and Thanksgiving celebrations – and volunteering opportunities that enrich everyone's experience. PTSA members volunteer their time and talents, bring a wealth of expertise and experience, and offer plenty of energy and creativity. Joining the PTSA is a great way to connect with other families, too.
If you're interested in becoming a member, please get in touch with us at: psta@naisr.nl.
Our groups include:
- Good Food Mood Group: Every month, PTSA members don their chef’s whites and show off their culinary skills, cooking up a variety of dishes for other parents and families. A real treat for the tastebuds!
- Art and Culture Group: Our Art and Culture Group organises trips to museums, concerts, and galleries, including the Voorlinden Museum.
- Book Club: Our Book Club – which is also open to people outside the NAISR community – meet once a month to discuss non-fiction literature over some cheese and wine.
- Bootcamp: Open to all fitness levels, Bootcamp takes place every Friday morning after the school drop-off. You’ll go for a walk or run, or have a go at some circuits.
- English Conversation Group: This group is open to parents who want to improve their English, have an informal chat in a fun setting, and meet other families.
- Dutch Conversation Group: Our Dutch Conversation Group is open to parents who want to socialise in Dutch, meet other families, and form new friendships.
- Halloween: Every year, the PTSA organises fun activities for Halloween, and they need volunteers to help with decorating, organising games, and leading activities.
Class reps
Our class reps support teachers in all sorts of ways. They connect school with home, and aren't expected to take on major responsibilities or solve problems.
Our reps:
- Welcome new parents to the class and WhatsApp group.
- Share messages from the PTSA.
- Help the class teacher to organise events and parties, including at Christmas and Koningsdag.
- Collect small amounts of money for a class fund, which pay for things like coffee mornings and end-of-year gifts.
