Dear Parents,

Happy Chinese New Year, and Return to School

A warm welcome back to school after our Chinese New Year celebrations and holiday!

Primary Campus Weekly Update - Primary Campus Weekly Update

Every Monday, we have our Primary Staff Briefing and today was an excellent opportunity to share with our brilliant teachers the impact of 'the first day' after a break.

On the first day of school, as with any endeavour, we are given an opportunity to set the tone for our expectations and high standards for our classes and children. In our staff briefing, I shared how great it was to be back in school, the buzz around day 1, and the excited children being dropped off or arriving by bus. And while I am sure some children stifled a yawn by lunchtime, it was indeed a day where our school community set the tone of high expectations from the start.

Walking around the school, I saw real purpose and intent in our learning spaces. Teachers and Teaching Learning Assistants have been enjoying time in classes, hearing about unforgettable holidays and gifts shared by families, and, importantly, helping the children settle back into the rhythms of school life. The Chinese New Year break is a great time for reflection, resting, and reinvigorating the 'why' behind our shared purpose. Ultimately, we know that we will continue to champion our children to be better tomorrow than they are today.

As we come to the end of the day, it is clear how much our children and colleagues appreciate and enjoy their first day of school, whether they are returning or it's their first day of a new school. We are working towards the same shared purpose.

I hope our families have had a restful time at home and are looking forward to supporting our shared drive to help our children be the best versions of themselves.

Take care,

Stephen Sharma
