Happy Halloween! Cloudy weather went unnoticed as the entire campus is full of Halloween atmosphere. We saw a lot of smiling faces get off the school buses in the morning as they showed off their fantastic costumes. Campus was full of vampires, ghosts, goblins, witches and skulls. Many students prepared carved pumpkins and brought them to school. Our lovely LFA Committee spent hours and hours decorating the campus earlier this week and assembled Halloween candy bags for all students.
[[\enNewsmedia\VUE_20201030185435 1.mp4]]Here we would like to share some great activities organised by our early years and primary school teachers.
Our Nursery A students dipped apples into orange paint and pressed them on the page to make little pumpkin prints. Students then added some eyes, a stem, and a mouth.
Our Nursery D students were reading the story of Pete the Cat and 5 Little Pumpkins. Students ordered their own numbered pumpkins and Ms. Zoe made a great picture for the students to take home.
Our Reception C students had class pictures, a fashion show and also had a ghost games and craft theme.
Our Year 3 students were seated in a circle and played a hunting game, students enjoyed the time with this fun activity.
Lower Primary classes also experienced a series of fun activities:
Story 'Room on the Broom', different Halloween crafts, Design a Pumpkin, Spooky Word Search, Spooky Word Scramble, Pumpkin Word Work, Writing - How To Carve a Pumpkin, Listen to a scary Halloween ghost story
We would like to thank everyone that contributed to the success of Halloween. We would like to thank the LFA for a well- designed playground with the Halloween theme and their donation of candies, the teachers for supporting the events and organising activities, and last but not least the facilities staff for helping set up and clean up. Thank you all for such a wonderful day.
