Mr Tsai graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry. He continued his studies at the University of Hong Kong, gaining a PGDE in Chemistry Education. He then decided to move to Singapore and attained a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering from the National University of Singapore.

Mr Tsai taught at a renowned IB school in Hong Kong for four years. He served as the Head of the Chemistry Panel, leading a team of five teachers and two lab technicians to facilitate teaching and learning at the school. He was also responsible for overseeing the Chinese Medicine Research Laboratory. After his time in Hong Kong, he relocated to Singapore and taught at another IB school that offers Cambridge IGCSE and IBDP programs before joining DCIS.

Mr Tsai's passion for science and his love of chemistry inspired him to pursue a career in teaching. He firmly believes that a science teacher should serve as a facilitator, guiding students to develop critical thinking skills and construct their scientific knowledge independently.

Mr Tsai enjoys travelling to different countries to immerse himself in diverse cultures and experiences. Exploring new destinations allows him to broaden his horizons and appreciate the uniqueness of each place he visits. In his leisure time, he is also an avid cyclist, finding joy and relaxation in pedalling through scenic routes. Additionally, Mr Tsai is a food enthusiast who appreciates indulging in delicious cuisine, savouring the flavours and culinary delights wherever he goes.
