Camilla graduated from University College London with a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) with a Drama specialism. She has also recently completed a Master’s in Development Education and Global Learning at the same university.
During her PGCE, Camilla gained experience in teaching across Key Stages in a range of schools in London. Upon graduating, Camilla secured a position as a Year 1 teacher at a primary school in Surrey, England. In this role, she played a crucial part in supporting young pupils as they transitioned from the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) into Key Stage 1 (KS1).
After her experience in Surrey, Camilla moved to Spain to continue her teaching career at a British school in Madrid. Here, she again took on the role of a Year 1 teacher, but with an additional focus on supporting English as an Additional Language (EAL) learners.
Camilla is a strong advocate of collaborative learning, fostering a space where pupils support and encourage one another. By championing these values, Camilla ensures that her classroom is not only a place of academic growth but also a nurturing community where every student can thrive. With a rich background in theatre, Camilla brings drama and performance into her classroom, creating a vibrant and interactive learning environment. She engages her pupils in acting out stories like "Where the Wild Things Are" and "Lost and Found," making lessons both enjoyable and memorable.
Beyond the classroom, Camilla is passionate about traveling and exploring the world, seeking out new places, cultures, and experiences. She is also an avid runner, having recently completed the Madrid half marathon.
