Dover Court International School proudly celebrated its largest graduating cohort to date: the Class of 2024.

Dover Court’s Sixth Form graduation ceremony for the Class of 2024 was a truly memorable event, blending pride, nostalgia, and excitement for the future. Held at the National Gallery of Singapore, families and staff gathered to celebrate the largest graduation cohort to date, alongside the presence of Dr Maureen Roach OBE, former DCIS Principal from 1990-2015.

The day was filled with celebration, reflection, and a shared sense of accomplishment. The ceremony provided a platform to highlight the remarkable achievements of our graduating students and featured inspiring speeches from notable guest speakers Nord Anglia Education’s Educational Advisory Board chair, Lord David Puttnam and Alex Bamford, Deputy High Commissioner at the British High Commission in Singapore. Their speeches were not only inspiring but deeply resonating. Their messages of courage and seizing opportunities visibly impacted the graduates, who are now ready to embark on their next chapter.

One of the celebration's highlights was the certificate presentation. As each name was called and each student stepped forward, the air buzzed with cheers and applause, a testament to their hard work and dedication. Seeing our proud graduates in their caps and gowns was a wonderful reminder of the power of education and the bright future these young people are stepping into.

Richard Dyer, DCIS Principal said: “They have faced unprecedented challenges to their educational journey, navigating through a period in history unlike any other. The Class of '24 has shown resilience, determination, and a positive outlook. They have excelled academically and made a positive impact through social projects. They express themselves eloquently, connect effortlessly with peers, and aspire to leave a positive imprint on the world. If not these young people, then who shall lead the charge towards a better world?"

Dominic O’Shea, Head of Sixth Form continued: "These students have proven themselves to be harmonious and inclusive, compassionate and in touch with the world. Their strong sense of justice and their desire to improve are salient features of their collective identity. We can be sure that our Class of 2024 will leave DCIS well-equipped to take on future challenges and make positive contributions to the communities they will go on to undoubtedly enrich.”

The ceremony was more than a farewell; it was a promise of the great things to come from the Class of 2024. As they move forward, ready to make their mark as leaders and innovators, we can't help but feel a profound sense of pride and optimism for what lies ahead for each and every one of them.

Warmest congratulations and best wishes, Class of 2024! Your journey has only just begun.
