Dover Court’s Secondary Music Showcase "A Night at the Movies," proved to be an absolute delight for both students and audience members alike. The school hall was transformed into a vibrant cinematic wonderland, where students showcased their talents and paid tribute to the magic of the silver screen. With guest appearances by none other than Darth Vader and a Stormtrooper, a mesmerising performance by the orchestra, and an Oscar-inspired awards ceremony, it was an evening filled with entertainment and surprises.
Undoubtedly, one of the highlights of the evening was the performance by the school's orchestra. Despite being their first public performance, the orchestra showcased exceptional talent and dedication. Their renditions of popular movie soundtracks were nothing short of breathtaking. Our music curriculum at Dover Court has been designed to ensure students of all ages and abilities have access to high quality music-making through a range of practical activities. Our curriculum has been designed with input from the Nord Anglia Juilliard Creative Classroom which gives children a unique opportunity to access these specially-designed resources.
