Andy only uses found natural materials such as rocks, leaves, flowers, twigs and feathers. As the artworks are of an ephemeral and transient nature, capturing the sculptures using photography is important before they decay or are destroyed.
Using Goldsworthy as inspiration, the children collected natural materials from the environment of the school grounds and worked with a partner to arrange and create an art work to be photographed. The children really enjoyed using an unconventional medium to create art and produced some elaborate and detailed designs.
