At the largest NAE-UNICEF Summit yet, Dover Court students Ines, Year 12 and Rocky, Year 11, joined over 100 student delegates from Nord Anglia Education (NAE) schools from all over the world in New York.
IBDP students Arpita and Nakshatra represented Dover Court International School at this year's NAE UNICEF Student Summit. The summit is part of Nord Anglia Education's collaboration with UNICEF and aims to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all. The student ambassadors engaged in conversations around the Sustainable Development Goals and listened to talks by experts in their fields. Through presentations, speeches and workshops the students gained invaluable experiences for their role as youth advocates.
The annual Nord Anglia Education UNICEF Summit took place virtually this summer, gathering NAE students from across the globe to demonstrate how their schools are working to meet the United Nation’s Global Goals for Sustainable Development. Our student ambassadors, Year 13 students Aini and Fathima share what they gained from participating in the summit.
During the week of World Children’s Day, children from Year 2, Year 5 and Year 6 planned and prepared an activity to teach to the younger year groups of Year 1, Year 3 and Year 4.
As part of Nord Anglia Education’s collaboration with UNICEF, students across the globe have been raising awareness of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through projects at their schools. Each year, the capstone event with UNICEF is when students from Years 10-12 visit New York for the NAE-UNICEF Student Summit. The DCIS student representatives this year were Isabella, now a second year IBDP student and Mehr, a first year IBDP student
As part of Nord Anglia Education’s collaboration with UNICEF, selected student ambassadors will visit New York from 11-17 July for the NAE–UNICEF Student Summit regarding the United Nation’s Global Goals for Sustainable Development.
