Yesterday, our Middle and High School students were honored to have Gabriela Lucke, the Director of the Center for Collaborative and Women's Leadership at INCAE Business School, as a keynote speaker. The High School club, Equality Now, organized the speech as part of the Women's Day celebration.
Ms. Lucke focused on the issue of unconscious biases and microaggressions that women face in the workplace, and how these biases can hinder their career opportunities. She emphasized the need for both boys and girls to work together to challenge these biases and create a more inclusive and equitable society. The speech not only provided valuable information, but also served as a source of inspiration, encouraging students to take an active role in promoting gender equality. Following the speech, students had the opportunity to ask questions, and some stayed to have deeper conversations with our guest. Overall, it was an enlightening and engaging experience.
Based on feedback from our Parent Survey after Semester 1 conferences, we’ve made a few changes to our Parent Teacher Conferences for Semester 2. The changes that parents will most notice are expanding the time for conferences to 10 minutes and a more user-friendly sign-up. Because conferences are 10 minutes in length, we will need to offer conferences at two different times: March 22nd, from 2:30-4:30 and March 29th, from 8:00-4:30. The Parent Teacher Conference sign-up form will be sent soon.

It also allows CDS to provide an academic route for success and to start looking into the professional goals associated with the student profile.
