Hello CDS Families!
Our 40th Fun Run “Run for The Stars” weekend is finally here! This Saturday, CDS will gather family and friends at our campus to enjoy this yearly event. More than 400 participants have registered for the competition, in the various categories. The Parents' Association, along with several of our CDS colleagues, have worked tirelessly for several weeks to make our fun run a great success. I want to thank them for their continued support and commitment during the events that they have helped to organize, this certainly makes our CDS community stronger.
This week our Tanzania travelers are also enjoying the activities that they have been part of since our arrival on Sunday. The group that will go to the Kilimanjaro Mountain trained at Mount Meru on Wednesday to start their climb on Thursday. Another group of students participated in a Safari, and the third group camped in a small village of the African bush where they built goat pens (and even gave a goat to one of the families), they created a smoke-less oven to allow the family members to cook indoors in a healthier way, and they also installed several solar panels in the community. We published a few pictures on our social media to share the incredible experience that our students are having on this trip. However, our young learners will have a lot more to tell you about this wonderful adventure when they return to our beautiful campus in the next few days.
Last week our varsity male and female teams played at the AASCA Soccer tournament at Lincoln School. Congratulations to our teams and coaches for their participation and to the fantastic fans (parents, students and staff) who were there to support them. Go Panthers!
February is coming to its end, but we are still working hard on all the upcoming March events, starting with the 1st Annual CDS PA Golf Tournament at Valle del Sol on March 11th. Please remember to sign up at the following link www.cds.golf and support the PA on the first edition of this tournament.
Thank you and have a great weekend!
Best,
