Hello CDS Families,
I hope this finds you well. We have had an exciting week here at school with guests from all over the Nord Anglia community. Mr. Inderjit Dehal has concluded his visit working with our instructional leadership team, our regional risk assessor, Justine Bricheno is here from Miami to conduct our annual health and safety audit, and our administrative staff is getting ready to welcome our internal audit team for our three year systems audit. It is an incredibly busy and important time for us here at CDS.
One of the most exciting new initiatives here at CDS is the development of our first Educational Development Board. This board is being set up to work in collaboration with our school instructional leadership team, (ILT) made up of Liz Cotter, director of teaching and learning, Brian Balding, secondary principal, Robert Austin, assistant secondary principal, Ariel Weissburg, primary principal, and Sabrina Loria, assistant primary principal. The ILT has developed an operational plan to address areas such as teaching and learning, professional development, leadership, communication, data usage, and hiring. This plan will be presented to the board and then the board will report to the regional managing director, Mr. Richard Davies. Educational Development Board members will be announced in next week’s CDS Newsletter.
Please be sure to provide us with your feedback in the Parent Satisfaction Survey. Last year we had 89% of families participating and we would like to match that number. To date, we have 28% parent participation. The survey link will go out again via email this Monday, January 30th or you may ask your Parent Association Rep to pass you the link via WhatsApp.
Thank you all for another great week here at CDS and we wish you all a wonderful weekend!
Best,
Jack Young
General Director
