Dear Families,
With only one week of school remaining before vacation, we’d like to wish you a very happy and healthy holiday season! We’re looking forward to seeing you on campus for our holiday concerts next week. Please read below for more details about December events.
Please ask your child to check out our lost and found, located in each house before Friday, December 16th. Any remaining items will be donated after this date.

Our yearly Gift Parade is around the corner. On December 16th Santa will visit campus and students will join our tradition of giving back to the community by bringing a wrapped gift as a present to Santa. Students should bring a wrapped gift to their classroom by December 16th and include a sticky note detailing if it’s appropriate for a boy or girl and the age range.
Swimming for EC-1st grade will end next week.
2nd-5th grade will start their swimming unit the week of January 16th.
According to the World Health Organization, water temperatures ranging from 78 to 86 degrees Fahrenheit are generally comfortable and safe for those engaging in moderate physical activity in a pool. Although the CDS pool temperature may fall within this range, in the morning when the air and water temperature are cooler, our younger students have expressed discomfort in the water. It’s our priority to create a positive swimming experience, especially for our younger students so during these mornings, students will participate in an alternative PE class. Please keep in mind that students will participate in swimming units twice a year so they will have other opportunities to engage in swimming.
