Hello CDS Families,
I hope this finds you well and enjoying this amazing weather we are having here in the Central Valley. This week presented our school community with some unexpected challenges, and I’d like to thank you all for the way in which you responded. Being forced back into a remote learning environment most certainly brought back to life the trauma that we all experienced during the beginning of the COVID 19 pandemic. We are looking forward to having all our students back at CDS on Monday and getting back to our routines and special events here on campus!
There are so many exciting things happening here at CDS that it is difficult to highlight them all but one that I would like share with you is our upcoming secondary school MIT roller coaster challenge! Our secondary teachers have been prepped and are ready to guide our grade 6 through 12 students in their dynamic creations. The challenge starts this Monday and goes through November 18th. We will share pictures of students' progress and results throughout the challenge.
An important reminder for families who pick up and drop off their child(ren) here at school to be mindful of how we are driving in our parking lots. There have been situations where vehicles have been speeding and even driving the wrong way in our parking lot during pick up and drop off, which is extremely unsafe. It is imperative to the safety of not only our students, but to all community members that we exercise patience, courtesy, kindness while driving on campus. Thank you for your understanding.
