PANTHER EXPERIENCE OPEN HOUSE
Mrs. Ariel Weissburg
Primary Principal
Dear Families,
We had an amazing time celebrating Costa Rica’s independence this week! The students learned about Costa Rican history, played bingo using national symbols, made tortillas, experienced a traditional ox cart ride, and took part in a whole school assembly. This week provided an opportunity to learn about and celebrate an important aspect of Costa Rican culture as a community! You can check out this week’s pictures here.
Wishing you a wonderful long weekend!
Our 2nd-5th grade swimming unit starts on September 20th. We are planning a culminating activity to end the unit! This will be an amazing opportunity to showcase everything that has been learned during the unit. All students are expected to participate in the unit.
Students can wear their bathing suit to school or change before class. Athletic style bathing suits must be worn (one or two piece suits with no buckles or strings).
Packing list: swim cap, goggles, bag for wet clothes, towel, sandals, and a change of underwear.
Save the Date: CDS students in Grades 1-8 will take the Fall MAP Assessment beginning on October 4. This standardized assessment will assess students’ literacy and math skills and is given twice per year. More details regarding the specific schedule and other information will be shared in next week’s Update.
