Words from Primary

We will celebrate Children’s Day on September 9th! EC students will participate in a carnival-themed morning full of activities and a shared snack. Our ES students will work as a team to navigate through a scavenger hunt, complete class challenges, and end the morning with a shared snack. Parent Reps will help organize a shared snack for each class.  

• Costa Rica’s Independence Day: 

On September 16th, we will celebrate and learn together during an assembly, shared snacks, and Cimarrona. Shared snacks will be organized by Class Reps. Students may either wear their uniform or come wearing Costa Rica's typical dress. Connect with your parent rep for information about where to buy traditional clothing.  

• Swimming

1. New swimming pool filters and heating system.
2. The swimming unit for EC starts on October 17 and ends on December 16. The second swimming unit starts on March 20 and ends on June 15. 
3. The first swimming unit for ES starts on September 20 and ends on October 14. The second swimming unit starts on January 16 and ends on March 17.  
4. Students can wear their bathing suits to school or change before class. Athletic style bathing suits must be worn (one or two-piece suits with no buckles or strings). 
5. Packing list: swim cap, goggles, bag for wet clothes, towel, sandals, and a change of underwear.
