Primary Principal
Dear Families,
Thank you for another fantastic week in virtual school! Please be sure to watch this video for primary news & updates for the week.
A huge thank you to those of you who completed the Virtual School 2.0 survey. This has given us excellent feedback regarding your child’s experience in virtual school thus far. The survey results were quite positive regarding the delivery of virtual school in primary.
As we end our 5th week of virtual school, I would like to remind you that the computer during this virtual experience, is your child’s classroom. Any sounds that are within the computer speaker - the entire class hears. Just as any image that is within the computer camera, the entire classroom sees. We ask you to please respect the school schedule from 8 am to 3 pm by ensuring a safe learning environment for every child. We appreciate your help and understanding in this regard.
The Primary Learning Support Team would like to support and provide education to adults (not parents) who are supporting children at home during virtual school. This week your child’s teacher will ask for the contact information of adults (nannies, maids, cousins, teachers, tutors, etc) who are supporting your child at home. Please be sure to share this information with your child’s teacher so we may invite each non-parent support person to this workshop.
Please be sure to read the Counselor’s Corner this week for information on monitoring your child’s mental health during this time of pandemic and social distancing. The Counselor’s Corner is on the homepage of the Virtual School website: Elementary VS Website and the Early Childhood VS Website.
Also, don’t forget to try the new “live chat” feature on the virtual school websites! This feature is to help you at times when you need immediate assistance. You will find this feature at the very bottom right corner of the home page of the website.
Wishing you and your family a lovely weekend.
Best,
Keitsa Brisson
