Part of a workshop series about Positive Parenting for Success, the 1st topic “Wearing your teaching hat” led by Mr Luke Curran, Head of Safeguarding, Welfare and Guidance and Mrs Khuyen Tran, Primary Assistant Headteacher, attracted a great participation from our Primary parents.
The event provided lots of insightful information and useful advice, which help parents understand how children learn and think at different ages, thus offering practical and positive approaches when supporting children’s learning at home.
The practical activities and detailed analysis after each activity by Mr Luke and Mrs Khuyen also allowed parents time to reflect and personally empathise with their children to further understand children’s emotions and feelings. This truly helped our parents to work out the strategies they can use at home to nurture a love of learning in each child while igniting their energy, creativity and problem solving skills, which are necessary characteristics of future’s global citizens.
