Admissions Open 2025-2026
Linked with the IPC topic about Celebrations, our Early Year and Year 1 students participated in the Tet Shoeboxes project where they prepared useful items in a gift box for disadvantaged children living in Hanoi. Their gift boxes were fully handed to those who were in need before Tet holiday.
In January, our Early Year and Year 1 students had the chance to participate in the Tet Shoeboxes project. It was organised to collect gifts for 39 disadvantaged children living in Hanoi.
As part of their IPC topic about celebrations, our students were introduced to the family traditions in Vietnam that are maintained and passed down through the generations. The students also enjoyed a lesson in which they observed the differences and similarities between family celebrations in different regions. Furthermore, the Tet Shoeboxes project was integrated into learning time, and so our students were able to connect with 39 disadvantaged children by sending them gift boxes. Each shoebox was prepared by BVIS students with useful items such as chocolate and sweets, school supplies; personal hygiene products, and a handmade Tet card.

The knowledge that you’re helping others is hugely empowering and, in turn, can make you feel happier and more fulfilled. We strongly believe that taking part in a project like this will enable our students and staff to build meaningful and long-lasting connections.
We would like to thank all students and parents of EY and Year 1 for such amazing engagement through the project.
