Year 6 transition Q&A with the Secondary Student Council

Year 6 transition Q&A with the Secondary Student Council - Year 6 transition Q and A with the Secondary Student Council
Year 6 transition Q&A with the Secondary Student Council
As part of our annual transition programme, Year 6 students had the opportunity to take part in a Q&A session with members of the Secondary Student Council on the morning of Wednesday, 19th March.
The student councillors, working in small groups assigned to each Year 6 class, answered a wide range of questions from their younger peers, helping to ease any worries and build confidence about the move to Year 7. There were thoughtful discussions on topics such as homework, lockers, school lunches, Check & Correct tasks, and even favourite teachers! Additionally, there were dedicated Q&A sessions in both Korean and Mandarin to ensure that all students felt included and supported, regardless of English proficiency.

The secondary students did a fantastic job, demonstrating patience, thoroughness, and a real sense of encouragement throughout. Their mature and thoughtful responses made a strong impression, and they were impressed in turn by the confidence and curiosity of Year 6.

Next up in the transition process, Year 6 will take part in an exciting treasure hunt around the secondary campus in April—an interactive and fun way to familiarise themselves with their future school environment.
