Week 1, Term 2, 2024/2025
I hope you had a wonderful break and are feeling refreshed and ready for another exciting term at BSKL. As we embark on the next phase of the academic year, we are excited to continue working in partnership with you to support your child’s growth, learning, and wellbeing.

Term 2 is an important time in the school calendar, filled with key milestones and opportunities for progress. This term, we begin preparations for mock examinations and initiate the Options Programme for students in Years 9 and 11. These processes are crucial as students make decisions that will shape their educational journeys. Additionally, in the first two weeks of term, we have Parent-Teacher Conferences (PTCs) for students in Years 7-10. These valuable conversations allow us to celebrate achievements and set meaningful goals for the year ahead.

Following the PTCs, I will email families with the second Parent Feedback Form of this academic year. This term’s form includes a focused section on gathering your insights into the PTC system. Your feedback helps us continuously improve and ensure these sessions are effective and supportive. We appreciated the input you gave us in Term 1 and have made slight adjustments to simplify the analysis process while maintaining the heart of the survey.

Please note that this feedback form is in addition to our established communication system, which allows parents and guardians to contact teachers or members of the leadership team directly at any point during the year. Open communication is key to fostering a strong partnership, and this system remains a cornerstone of our approach.

Finally, a big thank you to the families who joined us for the New Parent Welcome event today. It was wonderful to see both new and returning families connect, share ideas, and prepare for the term ahead. We are committed to working together to support your child’s educational and personal development every step of the way.

Have a lovely weekend,
