Simon Head Message
Week 16, Term 1, 2024/2025
As we approach the final week of this term, it’s the perfect moment to pause, reflect, and celebrate the incredible achievements of our students over the past months. This term has been busy, but it’s also been filled with success, growth, and memorable moments.

For some, success has been settling into a new school environment, forging new friendships, or navigating life in a new language. Others may have achieved personal milestones, playing a musical instrument for the first time, representing the BSKL Lions on the field, or making noticeable progress in their reading and writing. Each of these moments, whether big or small, deserves recognition and celebration.

Today in assembly, we hosted a CCA celebration where students and teachers shared the skills and experiences they’ve developed in their co-curricular activities. It was inspiring to hear about the creativity, collaboration, and determination nurtured in clubs such as Film Club, Global Campus Club, Story Club, and Rock Climbing. We were also thrilled to hear about some of the exciting new CCAs launching in Term 2, including Sustainability Club and World Scholars Cup, which will offer even more opportunities for our students to explore their interests and develop new skills.

Participation in CCAs plays an essential role in the holistic development of our students. These activities encourage teamwork, build confidence, and help children discover and pursue their passions. Whether it’s through creative pursuits, athletic endeavours, or intellectual challenges, CCAs provide valuable learning experiences beyond the classroom that shape well-rounded, resilient, and engaged learners.

As we head into the last week of school and the winter break, I encourage you to take a moment to reflect with your children on their personal highlights this term and all they’ve accomplished. Your partnership and support are integral to their success, and I thank you for being a part of their journey.

Wishing you all a restful and joyful end to the term.

Warm regards,
