Parent feedback boosts improvements in education, teachers, and facilities at BSKL
About 40% of families completed the survey last February, which provided information that we incorporated into our strategic plan for the 24/25 school year.

Here are some of the highlights and action points related to the areas

  • Net Promoter Score, the measure of how many parents would recommend our school, went up 11 points on previous year
  • Happy with BSKL 83% (up 1 point on previous year)
  • Provides a High Quality Education 73% (up 4 points on previous year)
    • Once again we saw excellent exam results and a spectacular set of university offers from our Class of 2024
  • Teachers are of a high quality 72% (up 10 points on previous year)
    • We added 13 new teaching posts to BSKL for the 24/25 academic year
    • We shared teacher qualifications and biographical details at a Parent Academy Session in August
  • School Keeps me Informed 84% (down 1 point on previous year)
    • We’ve added SeeSaw into all our primary school classes
    • We’ve separated our school newsletter into two publications
  • Teachers and Leadership are available if needed 72% (up 7 points on previous year)
    • We added teacher contact details to our important links section
    • We’re about to publish our Parent communication guide
  • Facilities - play spaces 66% (up 10 points on previous year), social spaces 65% (up 9 points on previous year)
    • We renovated the Level 4 play area on the Upper Hill Campus
    • We opened the Wellbeing Room in Secondary Campus
    • This year will see refurbishments to the Level 4 play area on the Lower Hill Campus and the secondary rooftop area at Upper Hill Campus

There are of course a number of areas for continued improvement areas:

  • Awareness of the breadth of NAE programs (24% stating zero awareness of any NAE program)
    • The good news is participation in these programs, especially Global Campus have gone up. We will host Parent Academy sessions about some of the other NAE programs parents should know about.
  • Students are able to participate in a range of trips/visits - up 9 points on previous year to 58% but still requires lifting
    • We continue to look for ways to extend opportunities to students through Nord Anglia, FOBISIA, and other partners
  • provides activities around social purpose 59% (down 4 points on previous year)
    • A team of secondary students won an NAE social impact grant and are implementing their program

This year Nord Anglia will launch a series of smaller, more pointed surveys, with the aim of getting feedback more frequently. We will have more information about this later. In addition, the secondary school has already launched the first of a series of feedback opportunities, which will continue throughout the year. I always encourage parents to take advantage of the opportunities to provide feedback. We do incorporate that feedback into our planning.
