For the past half term it has been lights, camera and action in Year 4. We have spent many hours auditioning, learning our lines and practising for our production: 'What's the Crime Mr Wolf'.
I think anyone who saw the end product would know how much effort went into it: a production is a massive event with some very esteemed guests - you, our amazing school community. We very much hope you had as much fun watching it as we had doing it.
Of course, these things do not just happen. So many people do their parts, and without them the outstanding end product wouldn't have existed. So, in no particular order, I'd like to thank all of our very talented actors. I'd also like to accentuate the massive input of the Year 4 team. Helping with the music and acting we would like to highlight the thank Ms Vinson, Ms Melfie and Mr Merino. Thanks also to our Year 4 parents for their contributions too. But a special mention must go to our director, the stunning Ms Saunders, who pieced it all together, making it what it was - Ms Sunders' role was huge!
The end product could be considered the actual 'performance.' But for us it isn't: the end product for us in Year 4 was the creation of a team. Of bonds that extend beyond the likes of maths and English. The deepening of relationships. Of fun. These are special moments and special things to share with other people, and all of us in Year 4 have, making us the lucky ones. And we really are lucky. We are a proper team now. We know and care about each other, and we are safe in the knowledge that nothing can stop us achieving together what we set out to achieve.
Well done everyone in Year 4. It is my pleasure to stand before you as well as write this to you too. Thank you, Year 4 - and very well done, team!
Have a wonderful holiday and, to those celebrating, merry Christmas.
