Ms Shen holds an MA degree in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages from Jinan University and a BA degree in Chinese Linguistic Literature from Shandong University of Finance and Economics. In 2013, during her studies, she spent a year in Medan, Indonesia, where she worked as a Mandarin teacher at the National University of Sumatera. Upon returning to China, Ms Shen taught Mandarin at the College of Chinese Language and Literature, Jinan University, in 2014. Since 2015, Ms Shen has been teaching at the British School of Guangzhou.
Ms Shen believes that educators should actively explore and discover the best teaching methods for each student, inspiring their interests and potential. As the famous quote goes, “Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach him how to fish and you feed him for a lifetime."
