At BSG, we're committed, providing young people with the opportunity to create your future, regardless of background or circumstance. Therefore, we are thrilled to announce the launch of our 2024-2025 Scholarship Programme, open to students from Year 5 to Year 12. If you're an international student who demonstrates exceptional abilities in academics, performing arts, STEAM, or leadership, we invite you to explore the exciting opportunities our programme offers. Please note that scholarships are limited for each category, so be sure to apply early to secure your spot.

 

Our Scholarship Offer

 

Our scholarships to study at our Guangzhou school are for a period of 2 years, with a variable tuition fee discount up to 50% depending on performance during the assessment process. An annual review is in place to account for performance and attitude towards learning. Applicants must be eligible to join BSG between Years 5-12 and must not be currently enrolled at the school. This special programme is intended to provide students with opportunity to join our community for the first time. It will run alongside our existing scholarship programme for BSG students.

 

The scholarships on offer are:

  4. Leadership

 

Limited scholarships are available for each criterion. When a scholarship award comes to an end, the student may re-apply for an extension alongside new applicants. The final decision rests with the school.

To be eligible for the performing arts scholarship, students should possess a passion for the performing arts and exhibit creativity, curiosity, and cultural literacy. They should have a track record of active participation in various performances and may even hold recognised qualifications from internationally accredited organisations such as LAMDA, ABRSM, or similar.

SUBMIT THE APPLICATION FORM

Candidates should write about themselves, their ambitions, why they feel they would benefit from the scholarship, and what they believe they can contribute to the school. The summary should highlight achievements directly related to the scholarship category.

 

The letter should be in English; however please indicate if English is not the candidate’s first language.

 Please submit copies of any supporting documents, such as certificates, awards, references, or previous school reports.

SCHOLARSHIP COMMITTEE REVIEW

Upon receiving your application form and supporting documents, the Scholarship Committee will meticulously review all materials. This comprehensive evaluation includes an assessment of your application, supporting documentation, and any feedback gathered from other formal admissions assessments with relevant academic staff.

Candidates who demonstrate exceptional promise may be invited to participate in an interview with the Principal and select members of the Scholarship Committee. This interview serves as an opportunity for the committee to gain further insight into your aspirations, achievements, and potential contributions to the school community.

ADDITIONAL SUPPORTING EVIDENCE

‘Prior to the interview, candidates may be asked to bring along additional supporting evidence to discuss with the committee. If that is required, candidates will be notified in advance and will be given clear instruction what to bring’. This ensures a thorough and fair assessment of all applicants, with a focus on identifying individuals who exemplify the values and objectives of the scholarship programme.

SCHOLARSHIP AWARD

After careful consideration and deliberation, candidates will be promptly notified of the outcome of their application within two working days following the Scholarship Committee meeting. Successful candidates will receive notification indicating not only their acceptance into the scholarship programme but also the level of scholarship award they have been granted.

 

The Scholarship Committee aims to ensure transparency and efficiency throughout the award process, maintaining clear communication channels with all candidates to facilitate a smooth transition into their new academic endeavours.
