Jonathan has recently joined the teaching team at BSG, bringing with him a profound passion for science education. He studied microbiology at Aberystwyth University and completed his teacher training at Edge Hill University, both universities in the UK. He has taught in various locations, including Wigan and Blackpool in the UK, as well as at a Nord Anglia school in Doha, Qatar. Now he embarks on his teaching journey in China, joined by his wife.
Jonathan is particularly passionate about teaching science, especially biology, which he finds endlessly fascinating as it unravels the mysteries of living organisms. He believes that science education not only imparts knowledge but also nurtures critical thinking skills essential for understanding the world around us.
Outside the classroom, Jonathan enjoys participating in sports, having spent time playing basketball, lacrosse, and American football. He also enjoys the thrill of board games and other games, such as Dungeons and Dragons. In fact, when Jonathan and his wife moved to China, they brought along two suitcases filled with board games, highlighting their shared love for gaming.
