James has been working within international education for over ten years, specialising in secondary education teaching Humanities. Based mainly within the China region, he has experience in teaching GCSEs and Advanced Level, as well as Diploma Level Individuals and Societies for the International Baccalaureate.
A holder of a BA in Political History from the University of Manchester, James looks to instill his enthusiasm for the subject in students of all ages. Committed to personal and professional development, he has a PGCE from Nottingham University a master's degree in educational leadership from Keele University and an NPQSL in middle leadership.
His goals as department lead are to make the subject of history applicable to students of all countries and cultures and to make them want to know about the world of the past and present. He hopes to instill within students the skills that serve us so well when learning about history and that they can use these in all aspects of their academic and professional lives. James is committed to ensuring that his students are successful, receiving the best possible instruction so that they may become the independent lifelong learners of tomorrow."
