With over four years of experience in both The Royal Marines and as a Marketeer, Gareth brings a diverse range of skills and knowledge to the teaching profession. In 2008, Gareth made the decision to transition into education and started his career as a classroom teacher of Physical Education. Within just one year, his exceptional abilities were recognized, and he was promoted to a Year Leader position. Throughout his teaching career, Gareth has specialized in the upper year groups and achieved great success as a Head of Physical Education for three years.

In 2019, Gareth took on a new challenge, returning to pastoral leadership as a Head of Sixth Form. During his time in this role, Gareth led his last Sixth Form to achieve the highest A Level progress in his local UK education district, a proud accomplishment for him and the students he guided. To further enhance his leadership skills, Gareth has recently completed the prestigious National Professional Qualification for Senior Leadership.

Gareth's true passion as an educator lies in inspiring young people to reach their full potential and pursue ambitious pathways. He firmly believes that experiences play a vital role in shaping individuals, and he strives to provide students with transformative opportunities. Joining the team at BSG as an Assistant Headteacher and Head of Sixth Form, Gareth is thrilled to collaborate with a dedicated group of professionals who share his commitment to excellence.

Gareth is joined by his wife and two children, who are equally excited to be part of the thriving community at BSG. Aside from his professional pursuits, Gareth is a keen sportsman and has previously competed in long-distance triathlons. While nowadays his sporting activities are more limited to swimming and cycling, his enthusiasm for an active lifestyle remains unwavering.
