BSG Guangzhou Scholarships 2024/25
Last weekend, our students—Livvy (9A), Clayton (8D), Juliet (9C), and Eunice (10C)—had the incredible opportunity to attend the ISCMS Orchestra and Choir Festival in Shanghai, an experience they will never forget.
From Thursday to Sunday, they were fully immersed in music, rehearsing from 9 AM to 9 PM each day. By the time they returned to the hotel at 9:30 PM, exhaustion had set in, but so had a deep sense of fulfilment—the kind that comes from giving your absolute best.
Even after long hours of practice, their energy and enthusiasm never faded. On the way back to the hotel, conversations were filled with excitement and determination: “I need to practice my part before tomorrow,” “This section is so challenging! Can you help me with it?” and “I made a new friend from another school!” It was inspiring to see their passion and dedication firsthand.
After four intense days of rehearsals, they took the stage for a stunning performance on Sunday evening. Their hard work and talent shone through, and the joy on their faces said it all.
This festival was more than just about music—it was about growth, learning, and making meaningful connections. We couldn’t be prouder of our students for representing themselves and our school so brilliantly!
At BSG, we dedicated an entire week to celebrating International Women’s Day with engaging and meaningful activities, ensuring that every student understands its significance.
Last week, our dedicated teachers and leaders travelled to Shanghai for the Nord Anglia China International Schools Leadership Conference, focusing on "planning for the probable, while considering the possible."
BSG was delighted to welcome back Juilliard Music Curriculum Specialist, Ms Andrea Lee, who played a key role in launching the Juilliard-Nord Anglia Performing Arts Programme in 2015.
Today our school was full of excitement as we celebrated Chinese New Year together! The day started with our adorable Early Years students singing beautifully in Chinese, followed by amazing performances from students across the school.
