At the British School of Guangzhou, we are committed to providing the best possible learning environment for our students, and we deeply value the partnership we have with our parent community. Following our November Parent Satisfaction Survey, we are pleased to share some key insights and our next steps to further enhance the student learning experience and family engagement at BSG.

Survey Highlights: Parent Satisfaction on the Rise

We are thrilled to report that overall parent satisfaction has increased across all key areas, with particularly strong improvements in enrichment and after school academic programme, in student’s learning experience beyond the classroom, teaching quality and providing individual attention.

Some standout statistics include:

• 97% of parents feel their child is happy at BSG
• 94% of parents say their child is making good academic progress
• 96% of parents say BSG provides learning experiences beyond the classroom
• 95% of parents say BSG prepares the children for the next stage of study
• 93% of parents say teachers are of high-quality
• 94 % of parents say BSG meets their family needs
• 93% of parents say they feel part of a supportive community

Acting on Your Feedback: Enhancing the Parent & Student Experience

Your suggestions are invaluable, and we are taking action on key areas of improvement:

Supporting Student Learning at Home
Some parents expressed a desire to learn more about how to support their child’s education. In response, we will introduce parent workshops in Term 3, focusing on effective learning strategies, study habits, and ways to encourage academic success.

Celebrating Student Achievements Beyond Academics

Parents also shared that they would love more updates on their child's involvement in extracurricular activities, after-school programmes, and enrichment opportunities. To address this, we will work with teachers to ensure greater visibility of students' successes in sports, the arts, and community initiatives.
