Our Principal, Mark Thomas, is excited to announce the official opening of the Nord Anglia International School Guangzhou!
Dear Parents,
I am delighted to be able to inform you that the official license to open our new Early Years and Primary campus, Nord Anglia International School Guangzhou (NAISGZ), in Huangpu District, was issued on 31st August 2021.
A project of this scale can only happen with the support of key partners. In particular, we would like to thank Nord Anglia Education, our parent company, for demonstrating their faith in our school by investing in this project. We also need to note the impressive support of our landlord, Leatop (Guangdong Communication Group), for their continuous support and expertise in designing and constructing this beautiful, purpose-built facility. Finally, we would like to thank the Guangzhou and Huangpu Education Bureaus, and all other government departments, whose guidance ensured our site meets the highest safety standards.
It’s impressive to note that The British School of Guangzhou opened in 2005 with just one class of 13 Pre-Nursery and Nursery-aged students. From those humble beginnings, our school has made year-on-year progress and can now claim to be the first-choice school for over 1200 students, whose parents are looking for an academically outstanding international school. We also expect our NAISGZ Campus to quickly become a first-choice school for Primary parents, due to its state-of-the-art facilities and strategic location — the next commercial business district of Guangzhou.
We will be making the most of our NAISGZ facilities throughout the term, with plans for performing arts events and the official opening ceremony, which will be attended by the British Consul General, Ms. Jo Hawley. Finally, with NAISGZ being such a significant milestone in the story of our school, we are happy to honour the Refer-A-Friend Reward across both campuses, and add a new Founding Families Reward for the first 100 families that join the NAISGZ community.
