Tom studied at the University of Birmingham, UK, has an undergraduate degree in Environmental Management and Technology and a MA in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL). He is licensed to teach in the US and the UK. He has been teaching in Beijing for around eight years before joined BSB SHunhyi. He was drawn to working at BSB Shunyi because he sought a school that promotes holistic learning experiences through innovative practices. He believes learning should be challenging, fun and transferrable.
Tom grew up in the South West of the UK with his three brothers. He is passionate about the environment and sustainability. He enjoys travelling, nature and calisthenics. He hopes to further his understanding and appreciation of the diversity present throughout the world and continue to find ways to utilise these differences as a resource for education
