Richard has been in teaching for nearly 25 years holding a variety of important academic and pastoral roles in various schools in the North East of England. He has been a senior leader, leading and managing a sixth form where he was able to improve the student outcomes, increasing the number of pupils going to Oxbridge and Russell Group universities each year in this role. He has also led a whole campus COBIS accredited CCA programme and staff CPD programmes.

Richard am a fully qualified National Professional Qualification facilitator for NPQ leadership qualifications for Headship, Senior Leadership, and middle leadership qualification. His passion for PE and Sport is key to his “Sport for all” philosophy and has continually worked hard to include the whole school in sport, advocating for the positive impact of sport and exercise on well-being. He has coached a number of school sports team through to the last stages of national competition. His passion for well- being has led him to guest speak at events on mental health in schools and the community.
