Misuzu, an accomplished musician and dedicated educator, began her journey at the California Institute of the Arts, where she earned a BFA in piano performance. With over two decades of teaching experience, she has had the privilege of sharing her musical expertise with students from diverse backgrounds and grade levels. Misuzu also holds a MEd in Education Technology from Moreland University and a MM in Music Piano Performance from the University of Redlands.
In 2017, Misuzu embarked on an exciting new chapter by moving to China to continue her teaching career. Throughout her musical journey, she has gained valuable insights into various aspects of music education. Now, she is thrilled to join the vibrant community of BSB Shunyi, where she can share her love and passion for music with the school's diverse student body.
Apart from her professional pursuits, Misuzu enjoys visiting art museums, embarking on food tours, and indulging in her love for anime. Her musical interests extend beyond Western classical music, encompassing a deep appreciation for the rich and diverse musical traditions found worldwide. She is particularly captivated by folk music and popular songs that reflect the unique cultures and experiences of different regions.
