He served as head of department for five years in a UK school before moving to China in 2018 to begin his international teaching career. In China, he became the coordinator for his school’s Somerset overseas educational programme, which immerses students in cultural and bilingual experiences in the UK.

Michael moved to China to expose his children to diverse cultures and opportunities, aiming to nurture them into global citizens. He joined BSB in 2019, his second international post in China, attracted by the school’s multicultural student and staff composition, which he believes fosters true global learning.

In his spare time, Michael enjoys staying updated with the latest news, which he incorporates into his teaching. He is passionate about technology, travel, and exploring local cuisine with his family. Michael is married with two children, both attending BSB.
