Li Jiang is an experienced Chinese teacher with a rich background in language education. She has worked at various institutions, including ACC (Associated Colleges in China) for 5 years, SYA (School Year Abroad) for 3 years, and Phillips Academy Andover, a renowned high school located in MA, USA.
Originally from Hubei Province, China, Li Jiang holds a Bachelor's degree in the storage and transportation of petroleum, including water supply and drainage, from Jiangsu Institute of Petrochemicals. She is also certified and qualified to teach Chinese as a foreign language at an advanced level.
In 2010, Li Jiang embarked on a journey to study Spanish as a beginner, both in China and Argentina. This endeavour stemmed from her desire to test the efficacy of the methods she had recommended to her own students when learning a foreign language. Through her own experiences as a beginner in Spanish, she validated that most of the methods she had advocated were indeed effective.
Joining BSB in 2016 marked Li Jiang's first venture into a British school environment. She feels grateful for this opportunity and is eager to embrace the challenge it presents. Li Jiang describes herself as outgoing and open-minded, qualities she aims to convey to her students. During her leisure time, she enjoys reading and listening to music. When on vacation, she finds joy in hiking and traveling with her friends and family. Teaching languages brings her immense fulfilment, and she is thrilled to have the chance to work at BSB Shunyi.
