Kirsten has a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education from Wilmington University. As an Early Childhood Educator with 9 years of experience, 5 years of which has been in Beijing teaching at kindergartens and at a primary school, she has has dedicated her career in helping young children learn and grow. Over the years, she has gained a deep understanding of child development, learning styles, and effective teaching strategies. She loves creating age-appropriate lesson plans that help children develop social, emotional, and cognitive skills. Being patient, compassionate, and nurturing is very important to her, and she works hard to create a safe and supportive learning environment for her students.
Kirsten is pleased to be a part of the BSB community starting in August 2023, where she can extend her knowledge, expertise and continue to shape the minds of young learners. It brings her joy to see the progress her students make and to know that she has positively impacted their lives. She believes that teaching young children is a rewarding and fulfilling career, and she feels fortunate to have the opportunity to do so.
Kirsten has been living in Beijing for 5 years with her husband and 9 year old son who also attends BSB Shunyi. she enjoys meeting new people, drawing and painting. She also enjoys cooking and spending time with her family. They like travelling and exploring places, cultures and food. Kirsten is fascinated by space exploration.
