Mr Hoolin brings a wealth of experience and a strong educational background to our school community. Holding a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Science from the esteemed University of Surrey, John seamlessly combines academic excellence with practical industry insights in his teaching.

With an impressive eight-year tenure dedicated to education, John specialises in delivering comprehensive computer science instruction tailored to a diverse range of students, spanning from Key Stage 3 to the IB Diploma Programme. His teaching philosophy is rooted in nurturing a deep understanding of computer science concepts, ensuring that students not only grasp theoretical knowledge but also acquire the practical skills essential in the real world.

In his current role as a Computer Science Teacher at BSB, John meticulously designs and implements engaging learning engagements that cater to various age groups and learning levels. His classroom is characterised by a dynamic and interactive atmosphere where students are encouraged to actively participate, explore their creativity, and thrive in their learning journey.

Beyond his professional life, John harbors a deep passion for tennis. During his formative years, he was an active competitor and proudly represented the Middlesex County tennis team in London, UK. The values of discipline, teamwork, and dedication that he instilled from his tennis days seamlessly translate into his teaching philosophy, shaping a holistic approach that extends beyond academics.
